FOOTPRINT MAP SERVER — first connection test

1. Upload maps.php and pmtiles-reader.php into the document root for
maps.meridiandigital.co.ke, beside the existing data folder.
2. Keep the two uploaded PMTiles files inside data with their original names.
3. Open https://maps.meridiandigital.co.ke/maps.php
Expected: status ready, with both maps marked ready: true.
4. Send the status output back to continue with the map styles and app configuration.

This package is the tile-serving layer, not a complete styled map.
Do not put maps.php into EXPO_PUBLIC_MAP_STYLE_URL: the app needs a style JSON,
which is the next integration step. No styles, glyphs or icons are bundled here.
The current archives cover Kenya at overview detail and Nairobi at detail zoom.

The server uses PHP 8+ with 64-bit integers and gzip support. No database, cron,
SSH, npm, API key or WordPress plugin is needed. SQLite is not required.
Only the two explicitly named archives can be read; query parameters cannot
select arbitrary files. Tile requests are validated, bounded and read using
random file access. Public map content has cache headers and ETags.
Missing regional tiles are returned as empty vector tiles, not fabricated roads.

Archive updates: use a new versioned filename and update the allowlist/style
URLs before switching clients. Do not replace a live file while requests are
reading it. Keep previous archives while existing app versions depend on them.
This prototype requires real-device offline and hosting load tests before a
public launch. Shared hosting resource limits still apply to PHP requests.
